Manchester City captain Kyle Walker has sealed his loan to AC Milan until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old decided to seek a new challenge last month after a difficult campaign with the Premier League champions.
Pep Guardiola revealed in early January that Walker was eager for a fresh start elsewhere and sources close to the player were quick to rule out the potential of the Saudi Pro League.
Due to the interest promoted by advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic, AC beat the competition to get the right back and have the option to buy him permanently in the summer.
Walker wanted to stay in Europe and is aiming for a century of England caps under new boss Thomas Tuchel.
He is currently seven games away from reaching 100 and the Three Lions have two home World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia in March.
Kyle Walker has completed a loan move to Italian giants AC Milan, who have the option to make the transfer permanent.
The veteran defender informed Pep Guardiola of his desire to leave the Etihad earlier this month
His ex-wife served him with divorce papers in October (pictured with three of their children, Roman, 12, Riaan, eight, and Reign, six, in December 2023).
AC will pay all of Walker's significant wages for the duration of the loan. Matheus Nunes has been filling in at City's right-back position in recent weeks.
The defender has been one of the best full-backs in the Premier League over the last decade, with the right-back shining for Tottenham and Manchester City.
During his time at the Etihad, Walker has lifted 17 trophies, including six Premier League titles.
His decline in form also came as problems in his wider private life played out in the public domain as he fought to save his marriage.
Walker is ready to begin the new chapter of his life with his wife Annie Kilner and their four children after the couple apparently mended their relationship after being on the brink of divorce a year ago.
