Driver charged with causing fatal car accident

The driver who allegedly caused the car accident that killed the Minnesota Vikings cornerback Khyree Jackson and two others have just been prosecuted multiple times.
The Prince George's County District Attorney's Office in Maryland made the announcement on Thursday Cori Clingman is now charged with gross vehicular manslaughter and criminally negligent vehicular manslaughter, as well as vehicular manslaughter in connection with driving under the influence, stemming from allegations she crashed her Infiniti Q50 into Jackson's Dodger Charger on July 6.

Officers allege Clingman was traveling at a high rate of speed while impaired in Upper Marlboro … and struck Jackson's vehicle as she attempted to change lanes. According to police, Jackson's vehicle left the road and struck several trees.
The NFL player and one of his fellow passengers, Isaiah Hazel, were declared dead at the crime scene. Another driver in the car, Anthony Lytton, Jr.He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he also unfortunately died.
Jackson and Lytton were 24 years old. Hazel was just 23.
“This was a terrible tragedy that should not have happened,” the prosecutor said Aisha Braveboy said on Thursday.
Clingman was taken into custody Thursday “without incident,” Braveboy added. She will have a bail hearing in the near future.
Jackson's death shocked the football world…both the Minnesota Vikings and Oregon Ducks expressed deep sadness over his death. They all honored him with helmet stickers throughout the 2024-25 season … while the Vikings covered a significant portion of his funeral expenses.
Jackson – a Maryland native – was selected by the Vikings in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft after a great final season at Oregon.
