Forest fires in LA
Fire fighting with jet engines
Published
In the La County, forest fires continue to romp … But now there is a new, unique technology that can extinguish dangerous flames with counterpower.
Steve WolfA former coordinator for film special effects and founders of Team WildfireTMZ says … He and his team have developed a vehicle driven by a nozzle engine to combat forest fires, which is now ready for use.
The unique machine with the name “The Stormcell” is constructed in such a way that it defends itself against the strong winds that actively promote the spread of forest fires … by carrying out a counterattack with even stronger wind with powerful jet engines.

The stormcell can carry air at a speed of up to 300 miles per hour … and also uses large amounts of extinguishing chemicals to combat the flames. The jet engines are mounted on an off -road vehicle, which, in contrast to a fire engine, can easily meander through narrow areas.

Wolf says the production of his truck cost a whopping $ 150,000. A few years ago he came to “TMZ Live” and showed us the prototype of the groundbreaking vehicle … and since then he has collected donations to create the official version.
Steve built “The Stormcell” together with a team from other special -effect engineers who all work on large feature films. You started building on Tuesday and are ready to put it into operation today.
Wolf says he is in contact with the incident management team and the fire brigade community in LA to find out where the powerful machine can best be used. He assumes that this will help protect the escape routes so that the citizens can flee.
The invention comes at a time when firefighters struggle against huge fires in the entire room, some of which are not yet fully contained.
