Despite Paris Fashion Week activities and Man City's recent visit to PSG, the French capital has been engulfed by NBA fever this week.

The key factor for that is the French superstar of the San Antonio Spurs, Victor Wembanyama, who has become an icon in the country after his success since joining the NBA.

And the 7ft 4in center, who is just 21 years old, did not disappoint fans when the Spurs faced the Indiana Pacers in the first game of NBA Paris on Thursday night.

Wembanyama finished with 30 points, including four made three-pointers, 11 rebounds, six assists, and was inundated with 'MVP' chants throughout.

With just one day's rest after that impressive 140-110 victory, Wembanyama will be back on the court again on Saturday night for another clash against the Pacers.

And, ahead of the rematch between the two sides, 2K Games ran a simulation of the game and predicted a surprise result at the Accor Arena.

According to their simulation, the Indiana Pacers will exact their revenge and upset Apple's bandwagon in Paris with a 124-120 victory over the Spurs in overtime.

He also predicted that Tyrese Haliburton, who had 13 points, seven assists and two rebounds on Thursday, will claim the player of the game award.

They suggest the 24-year-old point guard will put up 26 points, 11 assists and six rebounds at Accor Arena.

Earlier in the week, the Pacers star spoke of his excitement to return to Paris after his success with the US basketball team at the Olympic Games in the summer.

“I'm excited to play and play in this arena,” he explained.

'I took a photo (of the steps on Wednesday). I'll probably send it to our team group chat later, but yeah, definitely just lifelong memories, regardless of what the experience is for me personally.

“I was part of a group of 12 guys, and there's really only 12 of us as players that got to experience that.”

After starting the season in a personal and team slump, the Pacers are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, winning seven and losing just three of their last 10 games.

Meanwhile, reflecting on his performance as he credited the crowd for inspiring him, Wembanyama said on Thursday: 'Tonight was definitely different.

'It's a different kind of support that the crowd brings. We try to use circumstances to our advantage every time, and tonight was an easy night to use that.

Saturday's clash between the sides will take place at 6pm GMT at the Accor Arena.
