Ruben Amorim has once again blamed his players for Man United's form despite previously saying he regretted labeling his side 'perhaps the worst' in the club's history.
The Man United boss damaged a television screen in the Man United dressing room during an angry tirade to his players after last week's 3-1 home defeat by Brighton.
Amorim then sent shock waves around Old Trafford, in an explosive press conference, saying: 'We are the worst team, perhaps in the history of Manchester United. 'I know you (the media) want headlines, but I'm saying it because we have to recognize that and change that.'
The Portuguese tried to walk back those comments this week by insisting that they were referring to their own shortcomings.
'I was speaking more for myself than my players because I was talking about (I'm) a coach who starts losing seven games in the first (15). So it's more for me,' he said. 'So I understand that I give you that headline and sometimes I'm frustrated. Sometimes I shouldn't say it in these terms, but it is what it is and that's all. Sometimes it's really hard to hide frustration in the moment.
But, as he prepared for Sunday's Premier League match at Fulham, Amorim couldn't resist taking a dig at his players again.

Former United defender Rio Ferdinand remains concerned about his former club's form
When asked by TNT Sports what he was looking for against Marco Silva's side, the 39-year-old said: 'A better performance. We have to concentrate because it is the only way. We want to be good on the ball.
The rhythm they have because everyone is playing. We have to keep them fresh for every game. We don't have much training. I try to see the best options to play.
'Silva understands the way I'm trying to play, he's a great guy, he's a better coach. He understands English football. In the end it is the players.
There was respite for Man United in midweek when they beat Rangers in the Europa League thanks to a last-minute winner from Bruno Fernandes.
However, with United even closer to the relegation zone than the Champions League places at the Premier League table, their domestic form continues to cause angst for everyone associated with the club.
And Rio Ferdinand, who won six league titles at the club, is sure to make the mood in the United dressing room very dark.
When asked on TNT Sports if it was embarrassing, he said: 'If you are one of the players (embarrassing). Do you look at the objectives and think where are we? Those guys have to work to improve that.
'I don't know if I'm surprised (by lack of progress). The task was never one that you would look at and think it was an easy solution. I expected faster progress. You have to give it a chance in this window and the next one. I was expecting a little more at this point.
