The British Princess Beatrice welcomed her second child.
The baby, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, was born on January 22nd and weighed 4 pounds and 5 ounces, according to her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
“We welcomed Baby Athena to our life last week. She is tiny and absolutely perfect ”, Mapeli Mozzi wrote Wednesday on Instagram to give a look at the newborn.
Mozzi and Beatrice-Die older daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York-Sind already parents of their 3-year-old daughter Sienna and 8-year-old son. Christopher WoolfWho Mapelli Mozzi had from an earlier relationship.
“We are all (including Wolfie and Sienna) who are already completely obsessed with her. Our hearts are full of love for you, Baby Athena, ”wrote Mapelli Mozzi. “A massive thank you from my wife and I go to all wonderful employees of the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for their extraordinary care and support in this incredibly special time.”
Buckingham Palace on Wednesday confirmed that the child was born prematurely according to BBC. Beatrice's uncle, King Charles III, Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family, should “be enthusiastic about the news”.
“Her royal highness and daughter are healthy and good, and the family enjoys spending time with Athena's older siblings Wolfie and Sienna,” said the palace on Instagram.
Beatrice, who is ninth in the British throne line, married Mapelli Mozzi, a millionaire ownership of Tycoon, during a private wedding ceremony in the Royal Chapel of Energy in the Royal Lodge, Windsor, during a private wedding ceremony. The ceremony had been postponed because of the Covid 19 pandemic in May and was a private matter in which the late Queen Elizabeth II and husband Prince Philip took part. Beatrice's first cousins, Prince William and Prince Harry, Didn't take part.
The princess and her husband announced Beatrice's pregnancy in October and said they expected their second child together in the early spring. Athena is 11th in the royal success of the succession and falls behind Prince William and his three children, Prince Harry and his son and daughter, her grandfather Prince Andrew, mother Beatrice and the older sister Sienna.
Beatrice's mother Fergie and sister Princess Eugenie also celebrated the baby's arrival on social media.
