A wild shootout between a homeowner in Michigan and armed intruders ended with three people injured by shots – and violence was caught on video.
The drama unfolded last weekend in the home of Dearborn Heights from Benjamin Nevers When he slept in bed with his girlfriend – and broke two suspects through a kitchen window, so Fox 2 Detroit.
He reported Nevers reported and saw the suspects walking around the house on a surveillance camera while his buddy was resting in the living room.
Look at the surveillance video from the house … A perpetrator comes across the friend of Nevers and orders him to the ground with a gun held up.
The video then cuts to Nevers, who grabs his gun in his room and his girlfriend is rolled up in bed behind him. Suddenly Nevers begins to shoot one of the intruders who returns the fire – which leads to Nevers falling onto the floor with a gunshot wound.
The shooter – also wounded in the shootout – hobbled the front door, but it was soon arrested and charged with attempted murder and other serious crimes, a total of 21. His cohort fled and is still sought by the police. According to Nevers, the suspects had tried to steal a bag with a bottle of tequila, a chocolate bar and a studio microphone.
Nevers was treated and released from a local hospital – he told Fox 2 that his girlfriend was shot into the buttocks, whereby the ball sponsored in her chest area, but survived.
