Lions Star Cornerback Amik Robertson This week in a seat with us over Glenn … just a few days after the former Detroit defensive coordinator had accepted the appearance in Big Apple.
Robertson told us that Glenn was actually the reason why he came to Motor City from the Raiders in the past season … and he raved about the way the 52-year-old flourished this year.
“Man,” said Robertson, “coach Glenn was a blessing that I didn't notice that he would be a blessing.”
“The coach of a player, a passionate guy. Always want you to be the best version of yourself.”
Robertson played in all 17 regular season games of the Lions and probably had the best year of his career and recorded a total of 50 duels, eight passable steering and three forced fumbles.
He made it clear that Glenn was a big reason for the success – and although he is definitely sad to see him … He said he was thrilled that the coach will now shine with the HC title next to his name .
He said he was also sure that Glenn would quickly turn things around in NY … tell us that Gang Green “in good hands with such a guy”.
“I know that he will do great things.”
As for the lions without Glenn, Robertson says that they use their unexpected playoff loss against the commanders as fuel to recover them.
“I only know that we would keep all income,” said the 26-year-old. “If you fail and see people who doubt them – that's how I got up. That was the fuel for my fire. We will be back. It is all good. We definitely keep receipt.”
