Sports stars and teams have offered thoughts and prayers after the tragic plane crash in Philadelphia on Friday night.
A plane that transported six people crashed into a residential area of Philadelphia, a few days after the fatal collision in Washington DC.
The plane left the Northeast of Philadelphia airport on Friday night and was traveling to the Springfield-Bornason National Airport in Missouri before he lost control shortly after takeoff.
The images of the height door caught the plane to the ground before exploding in a large fireball after less than a minute in the air.
After the incident, the Eagles star, Lane Johnson, wrote in X: “Praying for the families and the first to respond to the Philadelphia plane accident.”
His words were resonated by the 76ers of Philadelphia. The NBA team issued a statement that said: 'Before tonight, we learned of a plane crash in the northeast of Philadelphia.
'While we expect more information, we send our thoughts and sentences to all the impacted.
The plane, a learjet 55, had been traveling to Springfield-Benson National Airport in Missouri after leaving the Northeast of Philadelphia airport on Friday night
'We also extend our gratitude to the first to respond on the site for their efforts tonight.
The 76ers also showed a message on the big screen before Friday night against the Denver Nuggets.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia philis said they were “deeply sad” to learn about the “tragic plane crash.”
“We extend our most sincere condolences to families and loved ones of all the impacted and express our sincere gratitude to emergency responders for their rapid action in the scene.”
