Ben Johnson got another piece of puzzle in his reconstruction of the Chicago Bears on Saturday night, appointing Eric Bieniemy as runner coach.
Johnson, who assumed the position of chief coach after leaving the Detroit Lions in January, appointed a coach with a lot of NFL pedigree to his back room.
The 55 -year -old well spent nine years at the Kansas City Chiefs from 2013 to 2022. He worked as a runner coach and offensive coordinator for Andy Reid, contributing to two super bowl victories in the 2019 and 2022 seasons.
His latest training work was at the university level with UCLA in 2024, taking that job after Dan Quinn decided not to retain him as an assistant chief and offensive coordinator after a year at the Washington commanders.
Well, he has also been a runner for the Minnesota Vikings as well.
The Bears ended last season with a miserable 5-12 record at the NFC North despite drawing the Caleb Williams field marshal with the first 2024 draft selection.

Johnson has also recruited Dennis Allen as his defensive coordinator in Chicago.
Allen held that position with the New Orleans Saints for seven years before assuming the position of chief coach in Louisiana in 2021.
That race ended this year, when the saints shot him in November for his seventh consecutive loss.
Johnson gave a first safe impression after taking the helm in Chicago and leaving his position as an offensive coordinator with the Detroit Lions.
It was a name in the demand in the recent round of training changes, with Tom Brady also chasing him for the Raiders of Las Vegas.
“I wanted to stay in this division,” said Johnson, explaining why he went to a NFC North rival. 'I know that this is the hardest division in football at this time.
'There are three teams that arrived at the playoffs this year. I have a lot of respect for coaches and players in this league.
'I have competed against them for the past three years. Dan Campbell, Kevin O'Connell, you talk about two types that are ready for the coach of the year's awards as the season ends here. '
