Graham Potter probably feels that he was not very lucky during his short time as a manager at Stamford Bridge. Some things in football simply do not change.
Potter is now a manager in West Ham Colors and his eight months in Chelsea a memory that vanishes. Here his new team was more than a game for his age, but did not leave without any questionable arbitration and, a few minutes later, his own goal.
West Ham was a goal and good for it when we spent the time brand here in western London. Jarrod Bowen, back from an injury and the best player in the field, had cling to a Levi Colwill Back's pass to score just before part time.
That goal had arrived against the game race but not the possibilities. West Ham had some good. At the moment, Chelsea found a way back to the game, however, his opponents were the dominant force in the game.

The objectives can change the mood of the games, as we know, and it did. Chelsea had drifted before his draw, but they advanced ten minutes later, when Cole Palmer drove around the left edge of the west ham back line to deliver a cross that covers the network in the extended leg of Aaron in Tom Wan-Bissaka.
So this was a great victory for Chelsea. Enzo Maresca team is back among the first four of the Premier League. For West Ham, Potter's progress signs are clear. However, after five games in charge, it only has one victory and that may indicate the size of the task.

Bowen's return of an injury was always going to give West Ham a certain power. Potter had arrived at the club with just a healthy striker in the building, but with Bowen now fit, shooting and scoring and Evan Ferguson signed from Brighton, suddenly he has more options.
However, it had not been a goal that arrived. Not remotely. The West Potter ham was well structured in its 3-4-2-1 formation. They looked insurance in general. But they had difficulty escaping from the Territorial grip of Chelsea for long spells and if the Maresca team had been a little more in tune with its finish, then they could have found themselves before their opponents.
Chelsea certainly had control of the center of the field for long periods. Moises Caicedo, a Potter player during his time here and in Chelsea, was excellent and ahead had runners arranged in Noni Mudueke and Jadon Sancho.
Mudueke was close to scoring in the fifteenth minute, curving a shot through the goal and wide after Nicolas Jackson released him to the right. Shortly after that, Jackson returned the ball to Cole Pale 20 yards from the goal and placed a shot.
That tended to be the way for Chelsea. His construction game was practically at the point, but beyond that they wanted.
The left side Marc Cucurella jumped only for the head when he could have done it better in the 25th minute before Mudueke played Enzo Fernández with a nice pass only for Argentina's international to surround his shot in the goalkeeper and wide.
Among all this, West Ham had achieved the strange moment in the counter and perhaps, with retrospect, they had served as warnings of some defensive vulnerability of Chelsea. Jorgesen had looked for an early crossing of Andy Irving, a 24 -year -old Scottish making his first league start.
Bowen had also found space to shoot at the goalkeeper's legs after a corner in the 19th minute, while Irving flew from a distance a minute later. Then, in the 38th minute, Mohammed Kudus had somehow left free to run a long pass from Aaron Cresswell and shoot at the goalkeeper's stomach.
Then, yes, the warnings had been there and three minutes before the interval, just after Jadon Sancho had threatened twice at the other end, Chelsea collapsed a little.

If West Ham was vigorized by the objective, Chelsea failed palpably to find an answer. During the first 15 minutes of the second period, the local team was absolutely horrible.
Where they once had possession and territory, now the side of Maresca was on the back. West Ham's wing side, Emerson, was savagely reduced when the composure was needed and then Bowen played a single two intelligent in the penalty area with Carlos Soler just for his low shot to be blocked.
Chelsa was a bit lost and a little confused. Maresca's response was to make substitutions, four in total before the time brand. In fact, when the 60 -minute brand arrived, his team had only achieved a second half touch in the West Ham penalty area.

In the touch line, Potter seemed quite unfortunate and it wasn't a surprise. Moments before the second goal, Kudus had hit the post with a diving header. The margins at night were really so good.
