Mary Fowler rejuvenated and has been named to return to the Matildas configuration after choosing to retire from the most recent international window of the team.
Fowler rested from the friendlies of November on the homeland due to fatigue, but is being welcome to the fold for the Shebelieves Cup tournament in the United States at the end of this month.
Extra free time seems to have done the 21 -year -old Fowler world, with Manchester City striker obtaining three goals and registering four assists in his five games since the change of the year.
While Fowler will provide a welcome impulse for the Matildas, there is still no time frame when the star striker and former captain Sam Kerr will return to play for his country as his recovery of a serious knee injury continues to move forward.
Kerr is currently in trial in London, accused of racially aggravated harassment of a police officer after an incident in January 2023.
The alleged altercation occurred after Kerr and his partner, Kristie Mewis, had been celebrating and were taken to the Twickenham police station.

Kerr is back in training, but he doesn't rush to return to the field
Meanwhile, Kerr has been recovering from a LCA injury suffered in January 2024, which left her aside for the rest of the Chelsea season and the Olympic Games of Paris 2024.
He has faced setbacks in his recovery, with Chelsea manager, Sonia Bompastor, declaring that Kerr will return before February or March 2025.
“The injury is good,” Kerr told Optus Sport before the 2024/25 season.
'I am not putting an appointment on my return, just making sure to do well and make sure to feel good before returning to the field.
“I mean, it's my second ACL, so I know you should take time, you must make sure it's correct and I'm doing everything I can.
“But there is definitely no hurry for me, I want to make sure to play for many more years.”
In addition to Fowler's return, the interim coach Tom Sermanni has led the experienced duo of the Center of Clare Wheeler and Katrina Glor to his team.
Melbourne City striker, Holly McNamara, has also retired after a successful success to club football in A-League women (ALW) after anterior cross ligament surgery.
There is a debutante in the Squadrón of Sermanni with the end of Brisbane Roar Laini Freier to win his first cap.
Freier has seven goals in 10 ALW games so far this season.
Australia will play Japan in its first tournament match on February 21 (AEDT) before facing the United States and Colombia later in competition.
