Bournemouth beat the fierce competition to sign the eave Lorient Eli Junior Kroupi for £ 10 million more accessories.

The 18 -year -old will remain on loan with the French team for the rest of the season, after signing with the cherries on the day of the transfer deadline.

The French SUB-19 striker has enjoyed a fruitful campaign in the Second Division, obtaining nine goals and providing two assists in Ligue 2, playing 17 times in the competition this term.

Headed by France under 19 International, Lorient led the classification of the league just beyond the stage half of the campaign.

Kroupi is considered one of the brightest talents that leave France, after having entered the first 16 -year team at the age of 16.

As such, their services were linked to several clubs about the January transfer window, including West Ham.

“We are delighted to confirm the permanent firm of the attacker FC Lorient Eli Junior Kroupi,” the cherries confirmed in a social media statement.

“The 18 -year -old French International French will remain with Ligue 2 Club for the rest of the 2024/25 season on loan.”

West Ham Scouts saw Kroupi score his tenth goal of the season in the 2-1 victory of Lorient in Red Star on Saturday, but his offer fell on the deadline.

Instead, the Hammers completed a loan agreement for the International striker of the Republic of Ireland of Brighton, Evan Ferguson.
