Real Madrid has paid tribute to its former star Cristiano Ronaldo while celebrating his 40th birthday.
Ronaldo spent almost a decade at Bernabéu, scoring 451 times in 438 games for Spanish giants.
He won four titles from the Champions League with the Club and received the Ballon D'O or four times during his time there. The global superstar went to Juventus in 2018 before meeting with Manchester United three years later.
Ronaldo continues to appear regularly for his national team and has the record of most of the objectives at international level, 135 – Despite now playing in Saudi Arabia for Al Nassr.
And in his historic birthday, Madrid sent his “warmer wishes” to the legend of the club and to the top scorer of all time.
“Dear Cristiano, from Real Madrid, we want to send our warmer wishes on his 40th birthday,” reads a publication in the club's x account. 'Every Madrid player is proud of the legend that you are and what you represent for our history.

The moving message of the club comes a day after the striker admitted that he loses his previous team and looks back in his time in the Spanish capital as the best of his brilliant career.
'Spain is my home, my children grew up there. It is where I was happier in football, I will always have Madrid in my heart, “he told Marca. 'I did some really beautiful things and people don't forget.
On the possibility of returning to the club somehow, he added: 'One day. I don't rule it out. I left a legacy there, a good brand there.
