Clay Matthews Had no problems with Myles GarrettThe trade demand this week … In fact, he praised the Brown's superstar for trying to take the future of his career into his own hands.
The 29-year-old Pass-Rusher fascinated the football world on Monday when he asked Cleveland … and while many NFL fans found his request to be selfish, said Matthews, Matthews said TMZ Sport He doesn't see it that way at all.
The Green Bay Packers Great told us that he knows that everything Garrett wants to do – and he is glad that the guy is now trying to get to the best place to do so.
“He has achieved every personal award,” Matthews said to us. “And it's time to achieve this team award.”
The Browns have made it clear that they do not intend to honor his trade request – but Matthews, who played in the NFL from 2009 to 2019, said he thinks a deal will ultimately be completed.
“Listen,” he said, “everyone entertain offers and if there are enough picks and compensation in the first round, and players who come in their way will have to crack something at some point.”
Matthews also burdened the future of his former teammate, Aaron Rodgers … tell us that he believes that the signal caller has something left in the tank-and the jets should sign it again if you want to win seriously in 2025.
