Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that his friends fear that he has no “life” out of football while preparing to play beyond his 40th birthday.
Ronaldo turns 40 today and celebrated the historic birthday with an unusual style when putting on a couple of compression boots of £ 4,000 at his home in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday night.
The Portuguese superstar published a photo of itself with the boots, which help muscle recovery and optimize athletic performance, on Instagram, along with the subtitle 'Last Cryosport before 40'.
The photo encapsulated his dedication to remain at the top of his game, and has revealed that his friends have talked about the sacrifices he has made to continue playing.
But Ronaldo insists that he still loves what he is doing, and still has no intention of retiring.
Speaking to Channel 11, Ronaldo said: 'If you tell me “Do you still like training?” I still like training. Is it the same as I felt when I was 20 years old? No, it is not the same.
