The legend of the Sergio Ramos League has signed a one -year contract with the Mexican Club Monterrey.

The 38 -year -old man had been a free agent since June when he finished his second spell with the Hometown Club Sevilla.

Ramos made 87 appearances for Sevilla in total. He also played 58 times for Paris Saint-Germain for a period of two years in France.

But he is better known for his 16 seasons with Real Madrid, where he won 22 trophies, including four crowns of the Champions League and five titles of the League.

Defensor Ramos played 671 games for Madrid and scored 101. His most famous goal may arrive in the UEFA Champions League 2014 final when he scored an equalizer 93 minutes in a 4-1 victory over Atlético.

In an interesting gesture for his old club, Ramos has chosen to use NO 93 as his Monterrey squad number.

Monterrey confirmed the news about Rhous's firm and his new shirt number Thursday night.

Madrid then published a brief statement from the club on Friday morning. He said: 'Sergio Ramos will play for CF Monterrey. In addition to enjoying the remarkable success with Madrid, Ramos enjoyed a stellar international race with Spain between 2005 and 2021.

He obtained 180 caps for his country, scoring 23 goals.

Ramos was part of the famous Spanish team that won three consecutive important trophies when triumphing in the 2008 and 2012 European championships on both sides of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Ramos, who also won three trophies with PSG, will hope to add to his list of important honors in Mexico.

Monterrey has won the Concacaf Champions League five times since 2011, but has not raised a trophy of any kind since its last continental victory in 2021.

They will be one of the three Mexican teams in the FIFA Club World Cup this summer in the United States.
