The founder of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy, seemed to confirm that a fight was being prepared between the two rival pitchers.

Rocker and Mahomes SR were members of rival teams in the 1999 and 2000 seasons, with rockers in the Braves and Mahomes SR in the Mets.
Mahomes SR played for the last time in baseball in 2003 for Pittsburgh pirates, but in recent times the headlines has reached for all wrong reasons.
He was arrested for drunk driving in 2008, 2019 and 2024, and last year he was prohibited from driving after being found on the roads without a valid license.
He spent 10 days in jail and is now under an 'intense supervision' in his first year of probation.
