Reveaus: The very small commercial price for teams chasing 49ers WR Debo Samuel

After demanding a landscape change, rumors suggest that the San Francisco 49ers could have a low sale price for the Samuel stars.

Samuel requested an exchange away from the team at his end of the season meeting with chief coach Kyle Shanahan, that the niners are willing to see.

“It was a difficult conversation with Kyle due to the relationship we have,” Samuel said. But I have to do my best.

“I am more than grateful for the niners who give me the opportunity of a lifetime, but now I think it is better that we find another team.”

San Francisco recruited an open receiver last season (Ricky Pearsall) and signed long -term extensions to two other passes receptors (Jauan Jennings and Brandon Aiyuk).

Now, the niners will seek to send it to another place, and this is not the first time that the team considers to move it.

Samuel demanded an exchange in 2022 in the middle of a contract dispute, but finally signed a three -year agreement. The Niners also listened to offers for Samuel and Aiyuk, while the last receiver was also looking for a new agreement.

Unfortunately for niners, Samuel comes from a low year (51 trapped, 670 yards, three touchdowns).

That means that an expected performance would probably be low. According to ESPN's Nick WaggonerSan Francisco could be forced to take a draft selection of day 3 (rounds 5-7) and possibly another selection of the late round to get it out of his books.

As for which teams they can carry it, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN mentioned the Washington commanders, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Houston Texans.

Samuel, the 36th General Selection in the 2019 NFL Draft, has totaled 4.792 reception yards and 22 touchdowns in his career.

He was appointed All-Pro receiver of the first team in the 2021 season when he caught 77 passes for 1,405 yards and six touchdowns.

But since then, Samuel has not caught more than 900 yards in a season.
