The new Motherwell Chief, Michael Wimmer, has promised to quickly deliver an exciting football to the Premier League fighters after admitting that there will be no “settlement period.”
The 44 -year -old German was appointed yesterday by the Firm Park Club as a replacement for Stuart Kettlewell, who left the club last month citing the personal abuse of the followers.
Wimmer more recently managed Austria Vienna in her first permanent managerial role in senior football, spending 16 months in charge of January 2023.
He joins Lanarkshire for his former assistant Ahmet Koc, who worked with him in his various roles in the German Club Nurnberg before meeting in Vienna.

The interim manager Stephen Frail took a temporary position of Motherwell for a second game, since they suffered a 3-0 house defeat against Ross County on Saturday.

Wimmer began his career as a coach at Nurnberg, increasing through the ranks of the academy's coach to the first team assistant before going to Stuttgart, where he was an assistant for three years before a brief spell as an interim manager.
