Venus Williams is ready to make a sensational return to tennis at the age of 44 years after receiving a wild card for the Indian wells next month in California.
The seven -time Grand Slam Singles champion, which recently caused rumors that it is committed to Italian boyfriend Andrea Preti, will compete for the first time since March 2024 after a year affected by injuries.
Williams has not won a tour level match since August 2023, with his only competitive action last year after receiving a wild card for Indian Wells and Miami Open.
She suffered first round defeats both occasions, losing to Nao Hibino and Diana Shnaider respectively.
Williams is entering his 32nd WTA season, and now he will seek to reach the semifinals of Indian Wells for the fourth time when he returns to the Court next month.
However, the tennis icon has a controversial story with the competition.

In 2001, Venus boycothed the Indian wells for 15 years after the stalls of younger sister Serena during her victory over Kim Clysters in the final in 2001.
His first appearance in Indian Wells returned in 1994. Williams has won five titles in Wimbledon and two in the US Open in singles, along with 14 Grand Slam double titles with Serena.
Earlier this month, Venus was seen with a huge diamond ring on his finger as she approached her boyfriend Andrea in Rome.
She has been romantically linked to the 36 -year -old actor and filmmaker, since they were seen for the first time on vacation in Nerano last summer.
And less than a year later, Venus suggested that they were already committed after he broke up with what seems like a wedding alliance on his left ring finger.
Preti joined his girlfriend for tennis training in Rome, where they were seen laughing together and holding hands among their practice successes.
Williams can be seen using the ring, which has a square cut diamond in the middle of a paw, during the session while his man watched from the side.

After concluding the practice, you could see Andrea taking a photo of Venus with two other group members before they finally left the sports club.
After leaving, the beloved couple could be seen sharing a kiss while walking together.
It is not clear when exactly Venus and Andrea began to leave, with their trip to Nerano on the coast of Amalfi in July 2024 marking its first public appearance together.
They were also photographed by New York City by hand a month later, before recently addressed other vacations to the Bahamas in recent months.
After sharing a photo of them together in their Instagram history, Williams added that Preti was “the best company.”
