Friends, family and members of the football community have gathered to remember the great Hunter of West Coast Eagles at a funeral in South Bunbury on Thursday.
Hunter died tragically, 43, earlier this month, hours after having finished a training session for his childhood club South Bunbury.
His funeral was held in the hands of the Oval Club, with hundreds of meetings to present his respect for former West Coast Eagles star, who was acclaimed as a wonderful individual and a “brilliant footballer.”
Multiple former teammates and legends of the Eagles Club attended the service, with Brownlow Ben Cousins and his Prime Minister John Worsflet coach arriving to present their respects.
Hunter's coffin was taken to the oval and was covered in a red and white flag of South Bunbury and a blue and yellow flag of the west coast of the west coast. 'The horses' by Daryl Braithwaite was played when the coffin was taken to the oval.
Two t -shirts of both clubs with their number 39 printed on the back were placed in the coffin. Its fishing cane was also placed on the coffin.

Former teammates Quinten Lynch, Beau Waters, Michael Braun, Andrew Embley and Drew Banfield also attended the service, while Nic Nanitanui, Liam Duggan and Oscar Allan also presented their respects.
Hunter's mother, Joanne Brown, and her companion Latisha Yacoub spoke during the service, along with former coach Worsfold of the defender and former player of South Bunbury and the former executive president of the Eangles, Trevor Nisbett.
Mrs. Brown remembered her son as a deeply loving and affectionate individual.
“It didn't matter where you were or who was around us, I always gave me a big hug,” he said.
'Every phone call ended with him saying “I love you.”
'Adam gave Rod and I many great moments. We also went to a roller coaster during his life, but he had left the other side … He gave us a lot of love and we loved him with all our hearts.
Mrs. Yacouub delivered an emotional tribute to her partner who said she was her 'lover, my best friend, my soulmate and the absolute love of my life'.
She revealed that the couple had begun to leave 23 years ago, adding: 'Most people do not know.

'We have had a good amount of ups and downs, but it doesn't matter what we both knew there would never be anyone else.
'Some people expect a lifetime to experience the love we share.
'I will miss his constant phone calls during the day, most of which they made sure he was asleep and then crossed when I answered the phone, but he was the reason he was awake.
“One of the last appointments that H told me was:” One day, the right person will enter your life and will make you realize why each 'no' was preparing you for the perfect 'yes'. “
'H, you will always be my yes'.
He added that the couple had planned to marry soon as he also talked about some of Hunter's last words before his death.
“And two hours before breathing, he said:” This is our year, “he said.
Hunter is a very revered figure around West Coast Eagles and South Bunbury Footy Club.

He began playing Senior Footy for South Bunbury when he was 16 years old and was recruited to the Eagles in 1999 as a pick no 29.
The defender born in Bunbury, who also enjoyed spells playing more in the field as a central center, made his debut of the AFL with the west coast during the 2000 season of the AFL against Melbourne.
It was in 2005 that he would consolidate his role in the backline of the Eagles, replacing Glen Jakovich, and would help the football club to reach the grand finale that year, and the club lost its first prime minister title in 11 years.
Despite that, under the administration of Worsfold, the club would break that duck for a title the following season, with Hunter playing a fundamental role in its 2006 winner of the Premier League.
Worsfold talked about the immense pride that he had to work with Hunter during his career as a coach, and added that he would have loved to have played with the defender.
“If a tear spills, it is a tear of pride for having the opportunity to work so closely with a great young man,” he said.
I would have loved having played with him. Little knew that a few years later I would be training it.
'All I wanted to do was play football. All he wanted to do was train and be with his teammates. Everything else was secondary.

The former executive president of the Eagles, Trevor Nisbett, reflected on how the buns of South Bunbury were in love with Hunter's football skills during the incipient years of his career as a player
'I would never want to miss a training session. I tried to convince him that he had a light night one night, but he rejected it because he just wanted to be training with the children.
He added: 'He did not look for praise. I wanted to do the right thing for our team.
'We were extremely proud to have it as part of our football club. He played a massive role in what this club has achieved about its brief history.
“Everyone loved the fighters, everyone enjoyed being close to him.”
Hunter would continue to withdraw from AFL football in 2009 after having suffered a shoulder injury.
During his brilliant career, he kicked 86 goals in 151 appearances for the Eagles.
Worsfold revealed that Hunter's love for the game was so strong that he was desperate to play for his shoulder injury, but the club informed him that it was better if he hung his boots.
'He didn't want to retire through an injury, even after he was told that he was putting the rest of his life at risk with a bad shoulder if he played more football. I was prepared to copy that, “said Worsfold.

“I would have lived the rest of his life with an arm if he could have pressed a few more years on the west coast, but unfortunately we could not allow that.”
Nisbett also reflected on Hunter's football trip. After having also played for South Bunbury, the former Eagles executive opened how Hunter's' remarkable 'soccer skills in the' club's' notable 'soccer skills when playing for the Junior parts of South Bunbury.
“I received a Peter Upson phone when I was about 14 years old, it called me and said:” You have to come and look at this skinny child who plays with the Juniors at that time for South Bunbury “and he said” He is remarkable ” Said Nisbett.
'I spoke with our recruitment boys and they had already seen him play and had him in Tab for what they thought it was an outstanding race.
'Being a child of South Bunbury, we started a very good relationship from the beginning. When I played for the Cisne districts, I always told me: “I still want to play with the Eagles and I still want to play with South (Bunbury) when I finish.” He has done all those things.
Nisbett also reflected on Hunter's time with the Eagles.
“Hunts was underestimated as a player, he was one of our most important players at that time,” he said.
'It was very appreciated for each player who played with him and each party person who was around the place at that time.
'To see the man in which he has become and that he has become and to lose it, our memories will live, we celebrate those memories forever in one day. Goodbye, friend.
