The NHL referee, Justin Kea, was in the wrong place at the wrong time on Sunday afternoon, standing in the line of fire when a disc approached and hit the official directly in the groin.
Near the end of the west conference clash between the Vancouver Canucks and the Utah Hockey Club was when the incident occurred.
Alexander Kerfoot of Utah was trying to eliminate the album from his team's defensive zone, since the Canucks had an empty network, trying to tie the game late with their opponents.
Kerfoot tried to remove the album of Conor Garland from Vancouver. Standing in the authorization line was Kea in the fast game, while taking the rubber to his virility.
Kea went out immediately and the game was arrested when the medical staff attended him.
After a few minutes on the ice, Kea stood up again and finished the last 84 seconds of the game.
