Two NRL players of Canberra Raiders 'very embarrassed' have been disciplined by an altercation in their hotel in Las Vegas Days since the beginning of the 2025 season.
Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies of the second row reached the blows after they were briefly evicted from the hotel on their first night after confusion for a room reserve.
It is understood that an inflatable baseball bat was involved in the fight in an elevator of the hotel and that the security guards attended, Sydney Morning Herald said.
The Raiders coach Ricky Stuart confirmed that an altercation took place three days ago and criticized the behavior of the players as unacceptable.
“I've talked to players who are very embarrassed,” he said.
“The club will deal with this strongly.”
The club is expected to address the saga in the next few hours.
The NRL is aware of the incident.
More to come.
