The former corridor Eddie Hill, who played for both Los Angeles Rams and the Miami Dolphins, died at the age of 67.
Hill had been fighting brain cancer and dolphins cried his death with a statement on social networks on Monday.
“We are saddened by the former Dolphins Corredor Eddie Hill, who played for the 1981-84 team,” Miami wrote in X.
Hill was selected in the second round of the 1979 draft by the Memphis Rams. He had 234 yards by land and a touchdown for the Rams in 23 games before being changed to the Dolphins.
In four seasons in Miami, Hill ran for 209 yards and a TD in 52 games. He added 171 reception yards and two TouchDown trapped in his career.
