The official cause of the death of the two sisters who disappeared in Scotland in January was revealed after they were found in a river in Aberdeen.

The text message, sent from the Victoria bridge area, indicated that they would not return to the apartment they were renting. The cell phone was disconnected from the network and had not been active since then.
The next day, the personal belongings of the brothers inside the apartment were found and their owner reported their concerns to the police.

A relative previously told the BBC that Eliza and Henrietta spoke for the last time with their mother on January 4 and that nothing in their 40 -minute conversation seemed out of the ordinary.
On January 9, INSP. Darren Bruce said that “extensive consultations” were ongoing to track the sisters and “Searches are being made in and around the area where they were last seen. “

The consultations are still ongoing to establish the exact cause of death, however, there are no apparent suspicious circumstances, ” David Howieson, from the Scotland Police, said in a statement.
