Andy Reid does not yet know whether Travis Kelce plans to retire or not after telling the Chiefs icon to “leave the city and relax” while contemplating the decision.
Kelce is currently weighing retirement after the overwhelming defeat of Kansas City against Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl Lix earlier this month.
A few days after the humble 40-22, the 35-year-old man told Brother Jason in his new Heights podcast than the “wear” in his body and mind could tempt him to hang his tacos.
It remains to be seen if he returns for a 13th season at the NFL at the end of this year, but for now Reid is not wiser about Kelce's thinking process.
After emphasizing that he does not know what his closed star wing will do, the chief coach of the Chiefs told reporters at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis on Tuesday: 'That depends on Travis. At this point, salt from the city and relax. That is my motto for these guys. Many games played for a constant number of seasons here.
'So you get to the end and you have depleted mentally and physically … take a step back and take care of that, then we will talk.

“But for now, I think that's what he's doing.”
Reid also revealed that he celebrated a usual season of the end of the season with Kelce before following his advice and going on vacation.
“He and I will meet,” said the 66 -year -old. “I had starting meetings with all the boys before they left, so we already had the opportunity to speak.”
Kelce's twelfth season at the NFL ended up in heartbreak earlier this month, since the Chiefs did not become the first team of the Super Bowl era to winning three consecutive years.
With the bride Taylor Swift looking from the stands, he also suffered a miserable night from an individual point of view after being largely anonymous in the game.
The soccer veteran had been inclined to retire earlier in the campaign after presenting some of the worst regular seasonal numbers of his career, and his ineffective exhibition against the Eagles revived that speculation this month.
Travis told Brother Jason the February 12 edition of New Heights that he is really thinking about retiring.
“I think I will take time to solve it,” he said about his retirement decision after the defeat of the Super Bowl.

'I think I owe my teammates that if I return, it will be something that is a sincere decision and I am not ***.
“I am completely here for them and I think I could play, it is only if I am motivated or not or is the best decision for me as a man, as a human, as a person to assume all that responsibility.”
However, speaking in Steam Room's podcast with Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson last week, Jason suggested that his little brother already knows if he will retire or not.
