Washington – Supreme Court John G. Roberts Jr. issued an order on Wednesday evening, in which the deadline of a judge took a break in which the Trump government was sent out of almost 2 billion US dollars that were promised for health and humanitarian aid worldwide.
The Trump administration's lawyers said that officials checked these subsidies and that the judge's order “had a proper review of the government in chaos”.
Sarah M. Harris, President of the President of the President of the General Trump, said that the administration did not claim to refuse to pay what had been promised.
“In order to be very clear, the government is obliged to pay legitimate labor claims that were properly completed according to intact obligations and supported by proper documentation.”
The US district judge Amir Ali in Washington, a Biden representative, was frustrated with the government's delays. On February 13, he granted an order in which the administration increases her financing frier at the US Agency for International Development.
At the beginning of this week, he gave the government 48 hours to immediately pay “all bills” and “completed for the work” before February 13th.
This order arranged the emergency call to Roberts a few hours before Wednesday midnight.
Roberts issued an administrative regulation that brings the case into the waiting loop.
The highest judge asked Friday for a reaction from the AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition and the Global Health Council, who had sued the finance delays.
The Supreme Court now provides for a faster appeal to two right -wing fronts:
Can the Trump government refuse to spend money that was approved by the congress?
And can the Trump Fire Agency civil servants who received defined conditions from the congress?
The Court of Justice gave us the US district judge Amy Berman Jackson until Saturday to decide whether Hampton Dellinger, the appointed head of a Whistleblower agency called Office of Special Counsel, can be released by Trump.
Last week Roberts and the Supreme Court agreed to give Jackson for a few more days to make a legal decision.
In the past, the Conservatives of the court have reported that the president has the executive authority to remove agency officials, even if the congress gave them fixed conditions.
But the judges may have a different view of the financing. In the past, the court decided that the congress decides on federal expenditure, and the president is obliged to issue funds acquired by the congress.
The lawyers of global health alliance said that the administration should not be allowed to pursue the government's promises.
“While the administration refuses to comply with the order of the district court, the irreparable damage to our customers increases every day, as well as the suffering of millions of people around the world who depend on the work with these grants,” said Lauren Bateman, a lawyer for public citizens.
