The wrestling champion of the Anthony Knox Jr. high school has been accused of simple assault and, by the way, causing body injuries for his alleged role in a wild fight in a New Jersey tournament last month.
Knox, a three -time state champion in New Jersey and Senior in St. John Vianney High School, was captured leaving the banking area and running towards the stands after his father, Anthony Knox Mr., had gone to face fans of an opposite team.
The shocking images on social networks show the moment when a great fight broke out in the stands, with several spectators involved in melee combat as the February 22 tournament descended to chaos.
After he and his father were finally taken from the school and in the police cars with wives, Knox was disqualified from the regional championships last weekend before being reinstated by the judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Patrick J. Bartels, who issued a temporary restriction order of his prohibition.
However, almost two weeks after the incident, the wrestling prospect has now been affected by simple assault charges and causing bodily injuries, according to the New York Post.
'The defendant entered the designated section of the opposite team of the gymnasium's stands during the Fight Tournament of the 25th District, where he proceeded to hit (written) on the face and head repeatedly, resulting in bruises and pain in the area of the right temple,' The complaint reads.

Knox said he ran into the crowd to protect his mother and his father on the day, after describing the atmosphere of the crowd as “hostile” before the fight broke out.
'During the final matches, the atmosphere of the crowd became increasingly hostile towards me and my teammates due to our success. The insults were thrown towards us, '' he said in a statement that was requested by Bartels.
'Apparently, my father approached people throwing the insults and asked them to stop.
'In response, I saw these people tie the ahead to attack my father and he was shot down and completely surrounded by rebel people.
'My immediate reaction was to run near the section to help the protection and safety of my father and my mother, who was with me. I dispute the version adopted by the facts of the NJSIAA.
Knox's father also alleged in an interview with ABC7 Who faced fans in the stands for launching racist abuses in children who participate in the tournament.
“I saw a group of adult men shouting racial insults to the children I have been training since they were 6 years old, cursing my son, cursing my wife,” said Knox SR, a former MMA fighter.
'As a man, I approached, climbed to the stands and asked the guy who stopped. At that time, I was attacked. He never threw a blow. Never hurt anyone. I never ran there like a bat of hell, just throwing people blows. None of that happened.
'They pushed me on the stands. I could have seriously injured. Then I surrounded myself with about 10 families.
The Interscholastic Athletic Association of the State of NJ initially suspended Knox Jr. for leaving the bank.
After his prohibition was lifted, he won the championship in his weight class in the tournament of Region 7 of Njsiaa and will compete for his fourth state title over the weekend.
