Football managers are usually dismissed when clubs despair. In Manchester United, it can be the other way around.
United is desperate, okay. Desperate for not returning to the square. Desperate for not having to start over. Desperate for not admitting that they have been wrong once again.
It is all this that is in favor of Ruben Amorim and a stay in Old Trafford beyond summer. What is not in his favor, at least until now, is football.
Sometimes it is worth writing some truths or telling them out loud, to believe and appreciate your great gravity. This is where we are with United.
The Amorim team is unfathomably poor to the point that we are almost immune to him and accept it. They are the worst United team since before Alex Ferguson assumed control of the first team in 1986 and is not improving.
Somehow, they are going back and a significant part of the fault of that meets their young manager.

In the Native Portugal of Amorim they cannot believe what they are seeing. Amorim, in his previous roles in Braga and Sporting Lisbon, was always the optimist, always the believer, who has ideas and solutions.
In United is not any of those things. Since he assumed the position of Erik Ten Hag last November, his team has worsened and that is something that none of us thought we would say.
In Portugal, there are whispers that he is not happy and that he is disappointed to have found that things are more chaotic and more challenging than he imagined in Old Trafford. They wonder if you can return home, possibly to Benfica, in the summer. Amorim denies all this. He says he wants to stay in England to fight.
But the 40 -year -old man knows that the ground is changing under his feet. He says that the results are everything, but he is not right. Often when the teams are fighting, there are cracks of lights. An individual player can improve. There may be occasional performance when things click, something to insinuate better times ahead if faith is celebrated.
There has been little of that under Amorim. A good raffle in Liverpool. A VOSSA of the FA Cup in the Arsenal. And then a spoonful of regression. It could be said that Amorim's results have been better than your team's performances and that is something to say when you look at the Premier League table.
The former United Gary Neville captain spoke this week about how poor the atmosphere was in a game he attended as a defender. Both inside the stadium and out, by the statue of the Blessed Trinity that acts as a meeting point for the main entrance.
Years of Glazer Drift and Shrift and now 12 months of ineos court costs play all that, but the fact is that it is football that establishes the tone on a game day.
Live football is largely an immersive experience, quite good to divert the mind of life problems or broader problems that affect a football club. All football is consuming and at this time the football that is delivered by the hesitant team, without trust and tactically rigid of Amorim is so far from being good enough that it is scary.

The context is always required. Amorim has not been in charge of much time and needs more information. The squad he inherited is not one of the four best teams and has suffered injuries. Last weekend against Fulham, Amorim could not even fill out his substitute bank. One of his best players, Marcus Rashford, was a lost cause before Amorim entered the door. I had to leave. The new players last summer were signed for a different coach with different ideas.
Even so, Amorim only has to find a way to do better. You must find a way to impose your ideas, personality and tactics on the players you have.
It is accepted that United's travel address since Ferguson retired has been in the south, but the league ends in the seasons that have followed have been seventh, fourth, fifth, sixth, second, sixth, third, second, sixth, third and eighth. It is a long way from there to position 14 currently occupied by the Amorim team. Then Amorim is failing, there is no doubt.
Other Premier League clubs have made management changes this season and have been rewarded with marginal profits. In Wolves and West Ham, the improvements have been mild but obvious anyway. Vitor Pereira has won four 10 League games and has attracted two others. Graham Potter has taken three victories and a seven -year draw. Meanwhile, in Everton, David Moyes has returned and fired the lights.
The average love points in their 16 league games are 1.1. Together with Ruud Van Nistelrooy de Leicester and Ivan Juric de Southampton, it is among the three managers of worse performance in the Premier League.
The other two will be in all likelihood this summer. What is there to save Amorim from the same? Currently, blind hope and optimism triumph, triumphing forceful evidence.

Parish Tomb Error
Steve Parish should not have taken the BBC microphone in the part-time to say what he said about the challenge inflicted by Millwall goalkeeper, Liam Roberts, in the Crystal Palace striker, Jean-Philippe Mateta in Selhurst Park.
It was a terrible challenge of Roberts and the concern of the parish for his own player was genuine and understandable.
But the interval of a highly loaded FA Cup draw between two London rivals was not absolutely the moment or place to start talking about Roberts's actions in such an inflammatory way.
The parish is not a fanzine editor or the followers spokesman. He is the president of the palace and would have been better advised to pause his emotions at least until the dust had settled and the stadium would have emptied.

It was a horrible Tackle, but it would have been better to pause on their emotions.
Simpler solutions for old problems
The soccer player's rules manufacturers want to press the time of the goalkeepers and test a new idea in this summer's club in the United States.
If a goalkeeper clings to the ball for more than eight seconds, then a corner will be granted to the opposition.
The reason here is solid, but there are simpler solutions. Currently, Guardians only tend to be warned by multiple offenses that pass time, usually at the end of the game.
Warge it the first time, reserve the second and then wait and see if they are prepared to risk a red card going for the hat-trick. Most likely they will not.

Then Kane will play for Tuchel and, anyway, who are they and what is the convincing alternative?
