Taekwondo's double Olympic champion, Jade Jones, has left the sport to follow a career as a professional boxer.
The 31 -year -old girl took the surprise after her first round defeat in Paris 2024, whose accumulation was tarnished by the controversy after a drug test was lost, but escaped the prohibition of medical land.
“Taekwondo has given me everything: an incredible trip, unforgettable memories and the honor of representing my country on the biggest stage,” Jones said.
'But now I'm ready for a new challenge. Boxing has always fascinated me and I am excited to try myself in a completely different sand.
“I know it will not be easy and, if I am honest, I really do not know what to expect, but prosper to push myself beyond my limits and I am excited by the trip ahead.”
Jones went to fame in London 2012 when he won the first Olympic Medal of Taekwondo's gold in Great Britain, with only 19 years, before defending his title of -57 kg in Rio 2016.

The Welsh woman then got her first world title in 2019, but crashed in the first round in Tokyo 2020, before suffering another early way out in Paris.
That loss last summer has now proven to be his latest Taekwondo contest while exchanging the rug for ring, and his first boxing fight is expected to be announced soon.
Jones will be trained by Stephen Smith, who won the gold at the Commonwealth 2006 games and fought twice for a world title of super pen weight in 2016.
The Liverpudlian, whose brothers Liam, Callum and Paul are boxers winning the title, said: 'I have no doubt that he has what is needed to have a serious impact on boxing.
'She is an born fighter. She has shown that again and again in Taekwondo.
'His athletics, dedication and winning mentality are unsurpassed. It is an honor to work with her.
