The director of the FBI, Kash Patel, is considering bringing coaches of the last fighting championship to reinforce martial arts and defense skills, according to four people familiar with the plan established in a call with the FBI field offices.
The newly appointed director discussed the idea during his first videoconference with the supervisors of the 55th field office of the office last month, they told the people, who were granted anonymity to discuss the content of the call because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
Two people reported on the matter said the current FBI agents described the idea as “surreal” and “Wacky.” The FBI declined to comment.
President Donald Trump is a fan of sport, mixed martial arts fighting that face two competitors with each other in a cage, and remarkably attended an UFC event in New York days after his November electoral victory, sitting with the president of UFC Dana White, whom he tells as a close friend.
A UFC official said the UFC “is not aware of any information about the training of UFC and FBI.”
During the call, Patel said Dan Bongino, a podcaster of the extreme right that Trump took the opportunity to be the FBI deputy director, is a big UFC fan and inspired Patel to try the training, according to one of the people informed about the call.

Kash Patel has shaken many cages since he has sworn as director of the FBI last month

According to the reports, he plans to bring UFC fighters to help train FBI's special agents.
Patel added that he believes is great, and is exploring an association between the FBI and the UFC.
'There is training that the FBI receives in physical altercations. If Kash Patel believed that she should be reinforced, the answer is not going to Donald Trump's best friend who runs the UFC, “said a former justice department official, when asked about Patel's proposal.
“It is clearly motivated by the brightness and glamor show, and Trump's friend,” said the official, who was granted anonymity for concern about the possible remuneration.
It was not clearly clear how any association would work.

Patel has shaken the office since he swore last month. One of his first acts was to ask that some 1,500 FBI employees were transferred from Washington to field offices throughout the country and an FBI office in Huntsville, Alabama.
Patel telegraphic his plans to shake FBI's operations in his book 'Government Gangsters', in which he asked to move the Washington headquarters, DC, and stop the historical practice of demanding FBI agents that they wish to serve in supervision papers of 18 months in the headquarters to get experience.
During the national call with the field offices, Patel reiterated his commitment to climb the staff at the headquarters and redistribute people in the countryside, two people familiar with the call said.
He also said that Bongino will begin visiting the field offices immediately after starting his new work in mid -March, added one of the people.
