- Jason Akermanis has learned his destiny after a three -year judicial battle
- The three -time Premier League winner has been fighting a fine for speeding
Brownlow Jason Akermanis's medalist's fight against a speeding ticket has finally come to an end.
The former Brisbane Lions star had requested an appeal against a leadership of driving at 141 km/h in a section of 100 km/h of Cunningham Highway, near Ipswich, on May 22, 2022.
The 48 -year -old man had requested permission to appeal the position on Tuesday in a court in Queensland insisting that he did not drive as fast as he alleges.
In 2023, the Ipswich magistrates court gave the three -time winner of the Prime Minister a fine of $ 1,500 and a six -month driver's license suspension.
Akermanis had also appealed the decision last year in the District Court.
Akermanis's lawyer, Paddy O'Donnell, who worked pro-bone for four times All-Australian, had asked the Court of Appeal to revoke the request for prior appeal of Akermanis.

Brisbane, the great Jason Akermanis has seen his fine for speeding.

Akermanis, a Brownlow medalist, won three prime ministers with the Brisbane Lions during his career.
On Tuesday, O'Donnell delivered multiple arguments to the Court, related to the operation of the Lidar speed gun, while arguing that there was not enough weight to evidence related to bad weather at the time of the incident and how that had affected the precision of the speed meter.
The president of the Court of Appeals, Debra Mullins, dismissed her arguments. She said that the aforementioned issues had already been addressed in the lower courts.
“Just because it put opposite evidence based on an expert report in which the judicial officer has to make a decision between two experts, that is an issue for the trial for the judicial officer,” he said.
Akermanis's appeal was denied.
The father of Tres, who comes from Mildura in Victoria, made 210 appearances for Brisbane's lions who returned 263 goals during his brilliant career.
Widely considered one of the greats of his time, especially playing a fundamental role in Brisbane's Premier League dynasty in nothing, Akermanis subsequently moved to Western Bulldogs in 2007.
He would make 77 AFL appearances before being eliminated in 2010.

The Footy star, in the photo with her partner Megan, had tried to revoke a fine for speeding after she had supposedly been driving at 141 km/h in an area of 100 km/h in 2022
After his three -year legal confrontation, Akermanis opened the procedures outside the court, claiming that he had learned a lot about the legal system in the last three years.
“All that information that we have two and a half years, almost three years later, I have no doubt that we would have had a great opportunity to obtain the result in our favor because in the end it is a km per hour,” he said.
I can't thank Paddy enough.
'Sures forward'.
