Manchester United's Head of Sports Medicine, Gary O'Driscoll, leaves the club after only 18 months at work, has emerged.
The doctor of the first team of older men, Jim Moxon, has also resigned after two years in United to look for another chance.
However, club sources say that double departure is a coincidence and is not connected with the last round of up to 200 layoffs.
O'Driscoll's departure is a big surprise after leaving Arsenal after 14 years to join United in September 2023 and was described as “one of the most experienced and respected leaders in sports medicine.”

They say that O'Driscoll and Moxon's outings are not connected to the fact that the United team suffered more than 60 cases of injuries and diseases last season or that chief coach Ruben Amorim currently does not have 10 players and has not been able to fill the bank in recent games.
