Tiger Woods shares a devastating health update of the teachers

Tiger Woods shared a surprising health update on Tuesday when he revealed that his Achilles had broken.

Woods, who has not played an official competitive round since last July, was expected to return in the Masters, which begins on April 10.

However, any hope of returning to the sacred streets of Augusta National, where the 49 -year -old man has been victorious five times throughout his career, vanished this week.

Woods shared on Tuesday that he was recovering from an Achilles rupture while increasing his reapotations for his return to competitive golf.

“When I started increasing my own training and practicing at home, I felt acute pain in my left Achilles, which was considered to break,” shared the 15 -time main winner in a statement.

'This morning, Dr. Charlton Stucken of Hospital For Special Surgery at West Palm Beach, Florida, made a minimally invasive aquiles tendons repair for a broken tendon.

“The surgery was without problems and we expect a complete recovery,” added Dr. Stucken.

“(…) I am back at home and plan to concentrate on my recovery and rehabilitation, thanks for all the support.”

The diagnosis is another devastating setback for the icon of the PGA Tour that has been plagued with injuries in recent years.

Last September, Woods had a sixth return operation in 10 years. The surgery was formally called 'microdecompression surgery of the lumbar column'.

Woods, a winner of 82 times at the PGA Tour, suffered extensive injuries due to a car accident in a single vehicle in 2021 that broke his right leg and ankle and required emergency surgery.

Later he had another ankle surgery to address persistent problems in 2023, weeks after retiring from the edition of that year of the Masters.
