Race driver Jamie Chadwick is anxious to bring 'a different type of perspective' to the coverage of formula one of Sky Sports' as the newest expert of the team before the 2025 season.
Chadwick will join experienced experts such as Natalie Pinkham, former W Naomi Schiff series pilot, and the performance and racing engineer Bernie Collins, as well as transmission of large ones such as Martin Brundle and David Croft. But in an intriguing turn, Chadwick is ready to balance his transmission commitments along with his career career, with the two -time W -series champion competing in the European series Le Mans as part of IDEC Sport.
The 26 -year -old has competed in a multitude of formats, including Formula E, Formula Tres and Indy NXT, in addition to serving as Williams development and then racing driver, in addition to acting as a mentor of the team's star block F1.
“It is good to have experience, not in formula one, but in careers, and it is more possible to relate to certain situations,” Chadwick told Mail Sport. 'I think you see things slightly different from the people they observe, who had never before driving a racing car.
'I have been lucky to be behind the scene with Williams in recent years, and it is great to have that interior differently, and from a personal point of view, it is exciting to deepen the world of F1 and unpack it as much as possible.
'When you are involved in a team like Sky, you are really in the mixture of many experts, and you are learning a lot. From a personal point of view, I have always been on the other side (as a driver), so it is really great to experience that from the opposite position. ''

Chadwick also hopes that assuming the role will increase even more the visibility of women involved in sport. As popularity has increased due to the immensely successful series of Netflix, the female commitment has also done in formula one, and the driver is eager to see that this translates into an increase in participation.
'I hope anyone who changes the television screen and see female experts: see female mechanics, engineers and lucky drivers in the future.
'I think that now the key will try to transition from that basis of female fans to real female participation, be involved in sport in all areas.
'And I really don't think that takes too much time, given how quickly we have seen the change of the fan base, but it is fantastic for sport. You know, now you go up to races and see so many different people looking and enjoying our sport.
Initiatives such as the F1 Academy, which seeks to promote young female talent and has created recognizable stars such as Abbi Pulling and Bianca Bustamante, is another success that has the potential to “act as a springboard for the next generation.”
The diversity within the Paddock is also ready for development, with Haas Esteban Ocon the first pilot in history to work with a career engineer Laura Mueller, this season.
“It is a shame that it has taken so long to be honest,” Chadwick admits about Mueller's addition to the team. Because that is definitely something we should see more.
'(But) I think that female strategists and engineers are becoming increasingly popular, which is fantastic. What we will see then is that culture begins to change. Because at this time, teams are probably 90 percent of men, 10 percent of women as such.

“If we can start changing that, and it is 50-50, the paddock will become more diverse, but there will also be more opportunities for women to see and think:” It's fine, that is an environment in which I want to work, and it no longer seems dominated by men, “and it is no longer seen as masculine dominated.”
As Williams ambassador to his new colleague Jenson Button, Chadwick has also had a close look at the British builder preparations before launching his new driver alignment in Melbourne.
Williams was the winners of the firm of former Ferrari star Carlos Sainz after the Spanish was shot down in Italy by Lewis Hamilton, and his presence in his colors on the network is a formidable perspective for the pursuit package.
“I think Carlos entering is a great moment for the team,” adds Chadwick. 'I think he will really put them in a position with one of the strongest alignments of the network, to be honest.
'I think the center of the field now, or where they have been the last years, is very close. So, really, a driver can make a difference to raise the team and take them in the right direction. So it's very exciting. I know that everyone who is inside the team is very motivated and has a very good feeling about next year. '
Williams is just a builder who breathes through the neck of the great beasts of sport, with Chadwick predicting that “four or five pilots” could be disputed to hit the four times world champion Max Verstappen of the F1 summit.
“I think it will be one of the most difficult years in general because we are now at the end of a regulation change, so all teams have really maximized what they have,” Chadwick continues. 'Some teams will have focused more on this year than others.
“That said, I think that if someone will be able to maximize any car, he goes to him: Max has to take him to fight anyone.”

But Max Verstappen will be anxious to see the challengers in their attempt to win five consecutive world championships this year
“Ferrari look strong,” Chadwick said before the debut of the 'very iconic' pairing career in Melbourne. 'I think they put a lot of effort and energy in this year's car.
'It will be great to see him in red, hopefully fighting for victories, maybe a championship.
'I think there is much to get excited. We are watching sport at your best. It is enormously competitive. No driver can make a mistake. The season is so long now, so hard for the pilots, hard for the teams.
'And we love to see that, we love to see all the teams and drivers taken to their limits. It will be super exciting, both as a fanatic and having the opportunity to comment.
