McCaffrey is Connor McCaffrey's father, who is dating the Wnba Caitlin Clark superstar.
Clark and Connor will celebrate two years of appointments next month after making their romance publicly in August 2023.
Connor McCaffrey played under his father in Iowa from 2017 to 2023 before his current work as an assistant coach in Butler.
