Danny Murphy: I'm baffled why Thomas Tuchel has remembered Jordan Henderson to England's team: he already has fans's back.

  • When there are so many younger promising midfielders, why choose Henderson?
  • Henderson will be 36 years old and I can't see that he has an impact on the United States
  • Listen now: Everything is starting! Why the final of the League Cup is Newcastle to lose

I listened to Thomas Tuche to explain his reasons to give him a memory of Jordan Henderson a memory of England, but it still makes no sense. It is completely disconcerting for me and runs the risk of blocking the path of others.

Jordan is someone who respects and I feel that he has been underestimated with Liverpool and England.

But resorting to him now at the age of 34 when he has no regular beginnings for Ajax in an average Dutch league is one of the strangest decisions I can remember.

Tuchel has put a lot of emphasis on Henderson's character, but this England team already has leaders in Harry Kane, Kyle Walker and Jordan Pickford.

At 26, Declan Rice has experience bags in the Champions League and the main tournaments. Are you not restricting his influence by remembering Henderson?

Very good prospects of the center of the field have been left out to allow their return. How will Conor Gallagher feel after scoring last week for Atlético de Madrid against Real Madrid? He is a phenomenal athlete who can play deeply and defend himself against his life.

Elliott Anderson has been impressive in the incredible Nottingham Forest season. Adam Wharton seems an ideal partner for Rice.

There is good will to Tuchel because fans want to see a more adventurous England. But Henderson's inclusion is a negative decision and puts fans's backs immediately.

On the other hand, let's not forget his past achievements: winning captain of the Champions League for Liverpool and World Cup semifinalist.

But he will be 36 years for next year. I can't see it impacting games in the United States.

Tuchel clearly establishes many stores in the team spirit and is right. However, it is not a problem that needed to fix.

The way in which Gareth Southgate team reached the end of euros despite being on the ropes for much of the tournament is evidence of a great camaraderie.

The greatest omission for me was Everton Jarrad Branthwaite. With John Stones and Harry Maguare wounded, this was a perfect opportunity to see if Marc Guehi and Branthwaite could form an association.

Both are able to defend one by one that will need in the World Cup. However, I am satisfied with Dan Burn, having known him as a young player in Fulham.

Tuchel's courage to select Marcus Rashford because there will certainly be violent reaction

Tuchel's courage to select Marcus Rashford because he knows that there will be a violent reaction of those who feel that his resurgence in Aston Villa has not been enough time to justify a retreat.

The way Rashford can fly beyond defenders offers England something different. He is able to go to the World Cup, so it makes sense to take him to the fold now. He and Anthony Gordon are the most appropriate to supply Harry Kane on the left.

I have also defended the cause of Myles Lewis-Skell of Arsenal and appreciates his selection. Like other gunners left behind Ashley Cole, the 18 -year -old seems destined for a long international career.
