Former Man United star Ben Foster has criticized Marcus Rashford and questioned what the future holds for the striker at Old Trafford.
Rashford said last week he is “ready for a new challenge” in an explosive interview after Ruben Amorim left him out of the Manchester derby.
The United manager subsequently left the 27-year-old out of the squad following defeats to Tottenham and Bournemouth, prompting suggestions the striker could move on in January.
Mail Sport reported earlier this month that Rashford will be available for £40m, although given his lack of form and playing time, the Red Devils may have to lower the asking price.
And Foster, who played for United, West Brom, Watford and Birmingham in the Premier League, hit out at Rashford and insisted he has not been up to par for some time.
'Marcus Rashford…' he said in his GK Cycling Podcast. 'There are so many people who talk about him who say “in his day, in his day.”
Ben Foster attacked Marcus Rashford and questioned what the future holds for him
Rashford said last week that he is “ready for a new challenge” in an interview after his sacking.
Former Man United star Foster criticized Rashford's attitude and said he was not worth £10m
'His day is once every 10 games. Really, it's once every 10 games and you can't have a luxury player in the modern game giving you one game in 10, it's as simple as that.
“Coupled with the fact that he has so much reputation and baggage and everything that comes with it, I don't think Mikel Arteta wants that around that Arsenal side.
“He has to move away from Manchester United. I think it will be an MLS (move) or something like that. It will have to be a massive pay cut.”
Rashford signed a bumper £325,000-a-week deal in the summer of 2023 after an impressive 2022-23 campaign, but has since struggled mightily to replicate that form, scoring just 12 Premier League goals in a season and a half. .
And Foster went on to discuss Rashford's attitude, stating that he felt he no longer had the same motivation, while also dismissing suggestions that United could pony up up to £40m for him.
“Once the fire is out, will you be able to get it back?” he added. 'It has to come from him. I don't think I can get it back.
'Once again, you're talking about money that really ruins everything, guys. Once people have that huge contract and those five years in the bank and they have everything they're going to need for the rest of their life, that takes away (that fire).
'They were talking about £40 million, you know too? Even with 10, I won't pay 10 million pounds… for everything.

Ruben Amorim questioned the advice Rashford's team gave him before conducting the interview
Amorim has refused to rule Rashford out of United's Boxing Day clash against Wolves, although speaking before the match he questioned the influence his team have over him regarding the interview.
“It's a difficult situation,” Amorim said. “I understand that these players have a lot of people around them and sometimes they make decisions that are not the player's first idea. I understand that, I can separate things.
'I'm always here to help Marcus, like any other player. They have to do what they have to do. They chose to do the interview because it's not just about Marcus. I understand that.'
Speaking to Sky Sports, Amorim added: “As a coach, I only focus on performance and the way he trains. As for the rest, it is better for me and the club to deal with that when the time comes.
'At the moment I'm concentrating on improving Marcus. We need a talented guy like Marcus right now. “Now I forget about the interview and see what I see on the field.”
Amorim expelled Rashford from the team because he was unhappy with the player's attitude and performance levels in training.
It is understood that United will not put pressure on their head coach to select Rashford, although continuing to leave him out could affect his value if he is sold in the January transfer window.
