Aston Villa have revived interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Donyell Malen.
The Dutch international can play on the front line, predominantly on the right wing, and would give Villa extra pace, as well as depth and quality for Unai Emery in attacking positions.
Dortmund value the 25-year-old at around £25m and he has 18 months left on his contract.
Malen also has a strong relationship with Villa left-back Ian Maatsen, as the pair played together in Dortmund and in the national team set-up.
Malen started out in Ajax's academy before joining Arsenal, where he graduated through the youth team to the first team and participated in their pre-season tour to Australia in 2017, but was then sold in August to PSV Eindhoven.
He stood out in Holland, scoring 40 league goals in just over 80 appearances before being signed by Dortmund.
Donyell Malen has played 41 international matches for the Netherlands and can play in the front line

Dortmund value the 25-year-old at around £25m and he has 18 months left on his contract.
Villa are exploring terms as they look to strengthen Emery's squad, with the possibility of up to three additions in January, and get their season back on track.
Malen has scored five goals this season, including one in Dortmund's 3-1 Bundesliga victory over Wolfsburg last weekend.
