Man United fans took to social media after Newcastle scored their second goal at Old Trafford on Monday night.
Joelinton beat Lisandro Martínez to head home Anthony Gordon's cross and give the visitors a 2-0 lead after just 20 minutes.
One user wrote on X: “Sure, Joelinton can just put it in the net with his arm.”
Another wrote: 'Repeat Joelinton's goal. Literal handball, but that's okay.'
Gary Neville bemoaned United's poor defending on the goal and questioned whether the incident should have been overturned.
“Casemiro and Eriksen should not play together in the Premier League. It's very easy,” he said.
The ball appeared to hit Joelinton's shoulder before he headed home to score for Newcastle.
VAR did not review the incident because the ball did not land low enough on Joelinton's arm.
The Magpies doubled their lead within 20 minutes to add to Man United's late woes.
'It's a beautiful delivery from Hall. But has it had anything to do with this? It could be disavowed.”
