Sky Sports star Polly James has hit back at critics of her neck tattoo.
In addition to her role as a radio presenter, James has been the voice of television interviews with players following matches at this year's PDC World Darts Championship.
The 38-year-old has been spotted alongside all of the sport's biggest names in this year's competition but some fans are having to focus on her neck tattoo as a result.
During the performance, the top part of James' tattoo, which is a rose, is visible above his neck, which evidently upset some viewers.
However, speaking with The mirrorJames revealed that he doesn't mind the criticism and spoke about the “incredible role” he has taken on this year.
She said: 'The tattoo on my neck bothers me a lot. More now, but that's because there are more eyes on darts, but it goes over my head.

'Say what you want about my appearance, I don't give a… but please don't criticize my work, because that really hits hard and that usually doesn't happen.
'I get on well with a lot of darts people, I'm in a privileged position to do what I do, but I don't want to lose sight of what it is to be a darts fan. I'm on their side, not the other side, so to speak. “I just have an incredible role to play.”
As well as covering darts for Sky Sports, James has worked on Late Night Football Club, as well as the BBC One chat show during Wales' participation in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking about his entry into darts, James explained: “The first time I went to Ally Pally was in 2009. When I first started working in darts, it was one of those things where I didn't know if I wanted to do it. Mix pleasure with work.
“I'm a radio DJ as my main job and then I did some hosting and presenting, then someone got in touch to see if I wanted to do the Premier League post-match interviews, back in 2019.
“I thought I'd love to do that and I'd give it a go and that's how, then the next year I started working for Sky.
In December, James also spoke with the sun about his tattoos and admitted he had a “poignant reason” for the designs.

She said: 'I have rhino skin when it comes to social media hate for my tattoos.
'You have to be like that when you work on a platform with radio and television. Even though I have that hard shell, I can still be soft.
'I'm really proud of my work, so I wish sometimes people would judge me on my work, not my appearance.
'I have “Family” on one side of my neck and a rose on the other side. There is such a touching reason for these words because my big family means a lot to me.”
