New Orleans Saints star Cam Jordan is doing his part to help his community after the New Year's tragedy and making a large financial contribution to the victims of the attack.
The 35-year-old defensive end expressed his condolences shortly after the news broke Wednesday morning … and hours later, he announced he was working with the team Greater New Orleans Foundation and the city to help those affected.
Jordan wrote a check for $25,000 to support the families who lost loved ones … as well as the dozens who were seriously injured in the attack.
As we have already reported, Shamsud Din Jabbar was driving a pickup truck down Bourbon Street around 3:15 a.m…. at least 15 people killed and dozens more injured. The FBI is investigating the incident as a terrorist attack.
Former Princeton football player Tiger beech was one of those who died in the attack. He was just 28 years old.
Bech was struck during the incident and taken to a nearby hospital. He was kept on life support until his family arrived at the facility.
The Sugar Bowl was scheduled to take place at the Superdome in NOLA postponed by one day as a result of the tragedy.
