Jamie Redknapp has criticized Arsenal for their performance against Brighton, insisting the Gunners “need to go on a Manchester City-type run” to win the Premier League.
Arsenal dropped further points against the Seagulls on Saturday night as they drew 1-1 with Amex, with Ethan Nwaneri's second Premier League goal as Joao Pedro scored a late equaliser.
They are now five points behind Liverpool, but Arne Slot's men have two games in hand. One is against Manchester United on Sunday, while the other is against local rivals Everton.
Against Brighton, Arsenal once again struggled to create opportunities from open play. In recent weeks they have become synonymous with relying on set pieces to score goals.
But that didn't happen on Saturday, and Arsenal are dependent on Liverpool dropping points if they are to finally end their 21-year Premier League title project.
Redknapp, who previously played for Liverpool, pulled no punches in his analysis of the game during Sky Sports' coverage. He urged Arsenal to do better and insisted results must improve soon.
