Dana White can add another title to his resume – UFC boss joins Mark Zuckerberg on the meta board!!
White announced the news Monday … and said being on the board was never his thing until Zuck called.
The 55-year-old explained that his love for social media, artificial intelligence and what it means for the future drew him to this opportunity… and he's excited to get to work.
“There is nothing I love more than building brands and I look forward to helping take meta to the next level,” said White.
Zuck also agreed with this addition and said he was just as excited to bring White – too John Elkann And Charlie Songhurst – into the family.
“We have tremendous opportunities ahead of us in AI, wearables and the future of social media, and our board will help us realize our vision.”
As for why he wanted White, Zuck explained that he has proven how he can take brands to the next level – just like he did in UFC.
“I admired him as an entrepreneur and his ability to build such a popular brand.”
Of course, this doesn't necessarily come out of nowhere – Dana and Mark have been brothers for a while now… and the Facebook founder even regularly attends UFC fights, sitting right next to the boss.
