Ryan Reynolds has resurfaced for the first time since he got caught up in the whole legal drama surrounding his wife, Blake LivelyAnd Justin Baldoni.
The actor appeared at the National Board of Review Awards in NYC on Tuesday night to introduce the wildly popular “Wicked,” voted by members as the best film of 2024.
Missing from Ryan's side was Blake, who, as everyone knows, had filed a complaint with the California Department of Civil Rights Federal lawsuit She accused Baldoni of sexual harassment on the set of her film “It Ends With Us” and insulted her good name in the press.
Dressed in a sharp suit, Ryan took the stage to a podium and gave a speech about how “Wicked is actually evil,” which is about two powerful women – on Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.
Ryan then talked about how women are held to different standards and have to be perfect while appeasing others and always changing physically.
It's unclear whether Ryan wanted to make a broader statement about the entire Baldoni Lively scandal.
As you know, Baldoni did that shot back Following Lively's allegations, he sued The New York Times for $250 million, claiming the newspaper misreported the story… and only told Blake's side of it.
The actor-director also dragged Ryan into the matter with allegations that Reynolds harassed Baldoni during a tense meeting. Ryan denies the accusationA source told TMZ that he never insulted Baldoni, but was “angry” and “stern.”
