twitch's widow Allison Holker says she has a good reason for babbling to the media about his alleged drug problem… she says she's just trying to help others.
Allison defended herself Thursday amid a Flood of online attacks from her late husband's friends and family, all of whom are upset about her recent media interviews and upcoming memoir…in which she addresses his alleged drug use leading up to his suicide.
In a lengthy social media post, Allison says, “I hope that by sharing our full story, I might be able to help someone else who sees themselves or a loved one in Stephen.”
tWitch's family and friends certainly don't see it that way… Allison is facing heat for raising the sensitive issue in a PEOPLE magazine cover story and for including passages from his private diary in her new book.
Basically, the family thinks this is all in poor taste and a money grab by Allison…and they dispute her claims that she found a stash of drugs in Twitch's belongings…and say he's not an addict and she is real drug addict.
Allison addresses his family in her tirade, saying she's just being an open book in hopes of helping people spot “red flags” about loved ones before it's too late.
She also claims that all the money she makes from the book will go to a mental health foundation she set up in his name.
