Cristiano Ronaldo has gone viral on social media after scaring away guards to sign a shirt and soccer ball for a child.
The Portuguese superstar, who turns 40 next month, attended the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai in December and was named Best Player in the Middle East and Top Scorer of All Time.
Footage has now emerged of a boy approaching him holding a football shirt, a ball and a pen while he sat in his chair at the ceremony.
The boy was quickly discovered by a security member who rushed in to try to stop him from getting close to Ronaldo.
But Ronaldo quickly dismissed the security guard and took the boy's pen before signing his ball and shirt.
The boy, who seemed a little nervous when he met his hero, could then be seen running away without taking his pen.

A security guard tried to stop the young man, but Ronaldo waved him away.
Ronaldo was happy to sign the boy's football shirt and ball before running back to his family.
Luckily, Ronaldo stopped him and handed him the pen before smiling to himself as the boy ran back to his family with his signed mementos.
The heartwarming video has proven to be a hit on social media, with fans impressed by the fact that Ronaldo took the time to give the boy a moment he's unlikely to forget in a hurry.
In addition to collecting two individual awards, Ronaldo also caused a stir at the Globe Soccer Awards after making controversial comments about the Ballon d'Or and Ligue 1.
The Al-Nassr forward claimed Vinicius Jr should have won the Ballon d'Or ahead of Manchester City midfielder Rodri in October, calling the award “unfair”.
He then insisted that the Saudi Pro League is stronger than Ligue 1 after stating that “France only has PSG.”
It is not the first time he has struck in France's top division, having previously questioned the strength of the league when his great rival Lionel Messi played for PSG between 2021 and 2023.
He also hinted at the possibility of owning a football club in the future as he suggested he could solve former club Manchester United's problems after a difficult first 12 months under Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos.
