Former Dallas Cowboys star Robert Quinn was arrested Friday … after police say he tried to flee the scene of a fiery car crash.
According to a police report obtained from TMZ SportsThe accident occurred around 2 a.m. on January 10 in North Charleston, South Carolina.
After responding to the scene, officers said they found Quinn in another person's ride with “fresh bleeding consistent with injuries sustained in a vehicle collision.”
After investigating the crash site and interviewing people at the scene – including the driver of the car they found Quinn in – the documents state that officers determined the former NFL pass rusher had wrecked his Ford F-150 …and then tried to escape by calling an acquaintance to pick him up.
But officers wrote in the report that he resisted when they tried to arrest Quinn for leaving the scene of an accident and causing property damage.
The report states that they had to tie the 34-year-old, who they previously said displayed slurred speech and refused to identify himself, to an arm bar to take him to the ground so they could handcuff him .
He was eventually taken to a nearby jail and arraigned at 6:52 a.m. on two charges – including reckless driving. Records show he was released later that day at 1:25 p.m. … and is now expected back in court for a hearing in February.
