Wataru Endo insists Liverpool are “more stable” under Arne Slot compared to Jurgen Klopp and is happy to continue playing at centre-back if it means more minutes with the Dutchman.
When asked about the adaptation with Slot, Endo said: “I wouldn't say there is much difference, we want to apply high pressure.”
“I think the new coach is more stable and likes the players to stay in their positions the way he wants and that's different. But I really enjoy how he plays at the moment and I think everyone enjoys playing his tactics.”
After beating Accrington Stanley on Saturday, Liverpool continue to compete on all four fronts and the Japan international admitted that, despite playing just 58 minutes in the Premier League and Champions League this season, he is doing well in playing his part in the national cups.
“I don't feel frustrated or anything like that. I always try to be prepared to help the team. Of course I want to play every game, but we need everyone on the team. What I can do is prepare for every game,” Endo said. .

Endo started at centre-back as he did against Southampton in the EFL Cup last month and the 31-year-old revealed he doesn't mind playing at the back.
“I used to play as a defender when I was between 18 and 25, so I don't care if I play center back or number six. I just do what I can do,” he said. “I don't talk to the coach about what my position is. “Now Joe (Gómez) has an injury and Ibou (Konate) has just returned, that's why I played. He also thinks that putting me as a defender is a good option to play his tactics, so I hope to have many more minutes than before.”
And Endo praised 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha, who became Liverpool's youngest player to start a competitive match, insisting he has a “great future” ahead of him.
“I think he played very well, especially in the first half,” he said. 'His dribbling is amazing. My son is 11 so it's only a five year difference and I can't believe I'm playing with him. I'm very happy that it made its debut today. It's a special moment for him.
